Location
In Dalhem, on the edge of the Herve region, stands a beautiful and unique house, built between 1912 and 1914. Known by several names over the years—Château Francotte, Maison de la Charité, and now Château de Dalhem—it is a notable landmark in the province of Liège.
Located in the city of Dalhem, once the capital of the powerful medieval county of the same name, the house is just a short distance from Visé, a town along the Meuse River between Liège and Maastricht. This historically rich area has long been a hub of commercial and cultural exchange, positioned at the crossroads of Roman and river routes.

The rooms are simple and functional, with a focus on hygiene and comfort. The one-person beds feature renewed, washable mattresses and pillows. Bedlinen will be included. Each room includes a wash basin.
Shared sanitary facilities and showers are available on each floor. Rooms are shared with two people per room.

Please note: All sleeping areas are located above the ground floor and are accessible only by stairs.

Food & Drinks
Lunch will not be provided on Friday, so please ensure you’ve eaten before arrival.
Dinner will be served Friday evening, with all other meals provided in buffet form. We won’t be using food deprivation as a gameplay element—there will be plenty of good food! Both meat and vegetarian options will be available.
Non-alcoholic drinks, including water, coffee, tea, juices, and snacks, will be available at all times.

Alcohol: A glass of champagne will be offered during the first scene, and wine will be served with dinner (included in the price). To maintain safe gameplay, alcohol will be limited to two glasses per player. After the LARP, additional drinks will be available, and you’re welcome to bring your own alcohol for the afterparty.

In the sign-up questionnaire, we’ll ask about allergies and dietary restrictions and will inform you of our ability to accommodate specific needs.
Language
We ask that all communication, both in-game and off-game, be conducted in English. Please use English at the venue at all times, except when absolutely necessary for safety reasons or when you are alone with another person in a private off-game room.
Photography
A photographer will be present during the LARP, with designated times for group and individual portraits.
Before any photos are made public, you will have the opportunity to request the removal of any images you prefer not to be used.
Approved photos may be used to promote future runs of the LARP.
Details about the photography process will be provided by the photographer during the workshops.
Safety & Self Care
A safety person and a trained medical professional will be available throughout the LARP and afterwards. The two designers will also participate as characters in either the Foundation or the Vigilantes and will be accessible at all times.
During the workshops, we will cover escalation, de-escalation, and opting-out mechanics.
Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. You can leave any situation at any time and are never required to do anything you’re uncomfortable with.
Please be aware that this LARP may include intense and triggering content. Read our "The Experience" chapter carefully to determine if this LARP is suitable for you.
Content Warning: You may encounter the following during the LARP:
-
People shouting at you
-
Strangers touching/hugging you
-
A kiss on the cheek
-
Being pushed/shoved, grabbed by the arm
-
A gun being pointed at you
-
Discussions of death, rape, abuse, drugs, and explicit visuals related to these subjects
You will always have the option to opt out of these situations. However, they are integral to the experience, so ensure you are comfortable with these elements.
Violence and Physical Harm: While this is not an action LARP, some scenes will involve violence. These should always be calibrated with fellow players, and we will provide detailed guidance on safe practices during the workshops. Remember, nothing will happen that you do not agree to or feel comfortable with. There will be ample time to calibrate these scenes.
Ultimately, each player is responsible for managing their own experience and well-being by clearly indicating their preferences and boundaries.
Important: For the hostages, Day One will conclude with a mandatory scene in which they will be blindfolded and their wrists bound with zip ties. This scene will be supervised.
Players should also be physically capable of being gently pushed and grabbed by the arm without any prior calibration.
If this is not the case, unfortunately, this LARP may not be suitable for you.
No Offgame Discrimination
Although there will be instances of abuse and insults during the event, any bullying based on a player's off-game traits will not be tolerated.
We want our event to be a safe space for all our players regardless of sex, gender, ethnicity, age, body type or sexual orientation.
